I didn’t start out planning to talk about my story. When I first opened my little Etsy shop, I wanted to create something beautiful: faith-inspired planners, digital journals, and tools for organising life in a way that felt peaceful, meaningful, and kind. But as time went on, something shifted. I began to notice that the very tools I was creating to encourage others were also gently inviting me to heal.
You see, I’m a survivor of experiences that left deep marks on my body, mind, and spirit. Some of that happened when I was a child, in places that were supposed to be safe. Later, it showed up in relationships where love was twisted into control, and where silence was demanded over truth. I’ve experienced spiritual abuse, emotional manipulation, and forms of sexual trauma that have left a lasting imprint on my mind, body, and spirit.
For a long time, I tried to minimize it. I kept going, stayed quiet and told myself that if no one else saw it, maybe it didn’t happen. But it did happen. And over time, I’ve learned that staying silent has cost me far more than finding the courage to speak out ever could.
Rebuilding means truth-telling
Healing hasn’t been a straight line. It’s been slow and tender, held together by counselling, prayer, quiet honesty, and learning to reconnect with my voice. Some days, healing looked like just breathing. On other days, it looked like journaling through grief, letting scripture speak into the silence, or practising gentler rhythms. And some days, it meant sitting with God and asking:
“Can something good come from this?”
The answer didn’t come all at once – but it did come. Not through one big breakthrough, but through many small, sacred steps: telling the truth in therapy, setting new boundaries, rediscovering joy, and learning how to build a life rooted in freedom.
Some of those steps happened while I was creating. The tools I designed for others began speaking back to me, gently making space for reflection, rest, and connection with God. They reminded me to pause. To pray. To listen.
Faith, for me, used to feel like something I had to perform, like devotion had to be proven through routine or religious effort. But now? It’s resting in the love of Christ. Living free. Knowing I’m safe, no matter what.
That shift changed everything.
And that’s when I knew: this space I’m building was never meant to be just a stationery shop. It’s a bridge between beauty and truth, creativity and courage. A space for faith-rooted self-care. A space where silence ends, and rebuilding begins.
So I will continue creating—with a new kind of purpose. I’m stepping into this next chapter with a fuller heart, ready to gently name what needs to be named and offer the kind of support I once needed most.
Why rebuilding, why now?
I believe no one should have to walk through faith valleys, pain, or healing alone. Sometimes, the most powerful form of resistance is simply telling the truth. Sacred spaces were meant to be safe. And in your healing, you deserve support that honors your dignity and story, without rushing your process or silencing your questions.
For too long, conversations around abuse, trauma, and church-related harm have been met with silence or shame. But I believe healing begins when we tell the truth with tenderness. When we honour our stories. When we make room for both grief and grace.
That’s why I’m building a space that gently speaks into those hidden places, where faith and healing can coexist, and where beauty and bravery meet.
